TEHRAN Iran is capable of manufacturing lasic equipment, although its related technology is quite new in the world, said Head of the Lasic Research Center of Shahid Beheshti University, Hamid Latifi.
He added that progress has been made in meeting the need for lasic equipment in military, medical and industrial areas.
"Currently, Iran is both producer and consumer of lasic equipment," he pointed out.
Latifi said the support of the officials for the optical-lasic industry can greatly contribute to the progress of lasic research and its related technology in the country.
